EAGLES

There are 60 species of eagles worldwide, 80% of which can be found in Africa and Eurasia.  Eagles are noted for their heavy, hooked beaks and for their extraordinary eyesight.  For example, it is estimated that the martial eagle has visual acuity that is 3.0 to 3.6 times that of humans.  I have been fortunate enough to see 20 species of eagle, and I present here some of my favorite eagle portraits.
